A five-day reset at Lumira, a 30-hectare eco-farm perched above the Turrialba valley. Panoramic yoga, a temazcal ceremony, giant trees, a natural lake, and the kind of quiet that only exists at a thousand meters above sea level.

Lumira is a family-run farm in the hills above Turrialba, at 1,000 meters altitude where the air is cooler and the mosquitoes stay away. Thirty hectares of secondary forest, ravines, a 30-meter lake, a natural pool, medicinal plant gardens, and panoramic views that stretch to the volcanic ridgeline.

The property is reserved exclusively for our group. No other guests, no distractions. Just twelve souls, a panoramic yoga room, a professional kitchen turning local ingredients into gourmet meals, and a temazcal ceremony under the stars.

This is a shorter format for those who want the depth of a full retreat without a full week away. Five days is enough to land, soften, remember, and return home changed.

Slow mornings, open afternoons, soft evenings.

The rhythm is gentle on purpose. Nothing is mandatory. The day flows around you, not the other way around.

You can do every session, or spend a whole afternoon in the hammock. Both are right.

Day by day

Every day has its own texture — arrival, depth, silence, expansion, integration. Here's what unfolds.

Day 1 — Arrival and welcome

Arrive at Lumira in the afternoon. Settle into your room, walk the property, find the lake. Welcome circle on the panoramic terrace as the sun sets over the valley. Light dinner and early rest.

Day 2 — Landing

First full day. Morning yoga with mountain views, a guided walk through the forest and medicinal plant garden, afternoon rest by the natural pool. Evening intention-setting circle and bonfire.

Day 3 — Into the fire

Morning breathwork session. Cooking workshop with the chef: learn to work with local ingredients and traditional techniques. Long communal lunch. In the evening, the temazcal ceremony: volcanic stones, medicinal herbs, and the kind of heat that strips everything back to what matters.

Day 4 — Stillness

A quieter day. Extended morning meditation overlooking the valley. Walking meditation through the secondary forest. Silent meals. Gentle restorative yoga in the afternoon. Let the mountain hold you.

Day 5 — Closing and departure

Closing ritual and gratitude circle on the terrace. Final breakfast together. Transfers back to San Jose airport.

Lumira Retreat Center

A 30-hectare eco-farm perched at 1,000 meters in the hills above Turrialba. The property is booked exclusively for our group. Lodging ranges from shared cabin bunks with privacy curtains to private rooms with en-suite bathrooms. Every room has a balcony or terrace with views, luxury mattresses, and hot water.

Shared spaces include a panoramic yoga room with full equipment, a professional dining room seating 36, an open-air ranch with reclining chairs overlooking the property, a temazcal space, a 30-meter lake, a natural pool, and trails through secondary forest with giant trees.
