The Two Women Behind Yoga Soul Trails

OUR STORY
How It All Began
Yoga Soul Trails was not planned. It was walked into existence.
It started with early mornings in the mountains of Escazú, two friends sharing trails, conversations, and the quiet that only nature can offer. Somewhere between the mist and the trees, an idea took shape — not a business plan, but a feeling. What if others could experience this too?
The first retreat was small, intimate, and imperfect in all the right ways. A group of women, a shala in the mountains, shared meals, yoga at sunrise, and evenings by the fire. Something happened in that space that none of them had planned for. People arrived tired and left lighter. Connected — to themselves, to each other, to something bigger.
That first experience confirmed what Antoinette and Isabelle had always felt. That slowing down is not a retreat from life. It is a return to it.
Yoga Soul Trails has been growing slowly and intentionally ever since — one retreat, one trail, one person at a time.
Meet Antoinette
Antoinette has spent over 27 years exploring what it means to truly feel at home in your own body. A certified Dru Yoga, Yoga Nidra and Mindfulness teacher, Shiatsu therapist and Holistic Life Coach, her path was never about mastering the perfect pose. It was always about helping people slow down long enough to hear themselves again.
Her classes and retreats carry that same quality — gentle, unhurried, deeply human. She creates spaces where nothing needs to be performed, where each person is met exactly where they are. Movement, breath, silence, nature. That is her toolkit. Presence is her practice.
Inspired by the healing power of the natural world, Antoinette weaves stillness and reflection into everything she leads. Whether guiding a Yoga Nidra session at dusk or walking a forest trail in silence, her intention is always the same: to help you return to yourself — with kindness, clarity, and joy.
Meet Isabelle
Isabelle brings the spirit of adventure and the warmth of deep human connection to everything Yoga Soul Trails creates. A lover of nature, long trails, and honest conversations around a shared table, she is the one who finds the hidden places — the lodges tucked into the jungle, the views that stop you mid-sentence, the paths worth walking slowly.
She and Antoinette built Yoga Soul Trails the same way they discovered it — step by step, through the mountains of Escazú, among friends, with no grand plan other than to create something real.
Behind the scenes, Isabelle holds the practical threads that make each retreat feel effortless. The logistics, the locations, the details that turn a good experience into an unforgettable one. She shows up fully — with warmth, laughter, and an unshakeable belief that the right environment can change everything.
