Six days on the Nicoya Peninsula, where the jungle meets the Pacific.
A six-day Pacific coast retreat in a Costa Rican Blue Zone. Wake to monkeys, walk to tide pools, practice yoga over the ocean. Five nights at a hilltop lodge above Manzanillo, for a circle of just eight.
Calamocha sits on a hilltop above Manzanillo, on the Nicoya Peninsula — one of only five Blue Zones on Earth. From the infinity pool, the jungle drops away into the Pacific. You’ll wake to howler monkeys and fall asleep to crickets and distant waves. Five wooden villas, hammocks under the trees, untouched beaches a few minutes down the trail.
For five nights, this is home for a circle of just eight. Two yoga sessions a day on the deck above the Pacific, three meals from the on-site chef, guided walks to tide pools, horseback rides through jungle and surf. December to February is sea-turtle hatching season here — at sunset, hatchlings make their way to the water just down the road. A soundbath with a local healer, a surf lesson in Santa Teresa for those who want it, a hammock and a book for those who don’t.
Led by Antoinette, held by Isabelle. All-inclusive from San José — domestic flight, transfers, meals and activities all taken care of.
The rhythm is gentle on purpose. Nothing is mandatory. The day flows around you, not the other way around.
You can do every session, or spend a whole afternoon in the hammock. Both are right.
Every day has its own texture — arrival, depth, silence, expansion, integration. Here's what unfolds.
From the moment you arrive until the goodbyes — here's exactly what the price covers.
Five private villas built from local wood on a hilltop above Manzanillo’s wild Pacific coast. Each villa has its own entrance, ocean and jungle views, comfortable beds with soft linens, a private bathroom, and hammocks or loungers outside. Some have fully equipped kitchens, some have air conditioning — all have windows that open to ocean breezes. The heart of the property is an infinity pool overlooking the Pacific, where a chef serves breakfast each morning. Daily housekeeping, 24/7 access to all facilities.
A few thoughtfully curated options. Each one designed for stillness — so you can come back to yourself, comfortably.
Spacious upstairs bedroom with an en-suite shower room, set in the trees.
Two-story main house — the heart of the property. Upstairs bedrooms with 1.5 baths.
A self-contained villa with its own private entrance and outdoor space.
The most modern of the five villas — living spaces flow seamlessly together, designed for slow mornings.
For anyone drawn to the ocean — first-time retreat-goers, returning yogis, solo travelers, friends. The pace is gentle, the group is small (eight of you), the air is warm. Surfers welcome, non-surfers too: nothing here is required, everything is offered.
Transparent pricing, flexible payment, no surprises.
